DJ

David J.

Retired engineer, Hua Hin

"I spent thirty years in engineering and assumed finance was something I simply didn't have the aptitude for. After the Newcomer's Guide, I realised the concepts were far more manageable than I had expected — it was the jargon that had always put me off, not the ideas themselves. The historical data they used from Thai markets made it feel relevant rather than theoretical."

Newcomer's Guide — April 2025

SA

Siriporn A.

Business owner, Hua Hin

"We own property in both Thailand and the UK and the differences in how wills operate between the two countries were genuinely confusing before the session. The printed templates were useful — though I would have liked slightly more time on joint ownership. I went on to speak with a solicitor afterwards, which they encouraged throughout."

Estate and Will Workshop — March 2025

MH

Margaret H.

Former teacher, Hua Hin

"The Household IPS programme was the most practically useful thing I have done in my financial life. I now have a short document that says clearly what we are trying to do with our household savings and how we have decided to approach market movement. Having it written down means I am much less likely to make a reactive decision."

Household Investment Policy Statement — April 2025

Pracha K.

Retired civil servant, Cha-am

"A neighbour mentioned Krung Capital and I was sceptical — I had attended a similar programme elsewhere that turned out to be a sales presentation in disguise. This was completely different. Nothing was ever recommended. By the third session I was asking questions I hadn't known to ask before."

Newcomer's Guide — March 2025

Louise B.

Former nurse, Pranburi

"I attended both the Newcomer's Guide and then the Estate workshop six weeks later. The Newcomer's Guide was very well paced. The Estate workshop covered a lot of material in two days and I found day two slightly dense. That said, having the printed templates to work through at home helped considerably. I would attend again."

Both programmes — February & April 2025

Thanakorn C.

Retired architect, Hua Hin

"My wife and I attended the Household IPS programme together. Working through the template side by side made us realise we had quite different assumptions about how long our savings needed to last and how much fluctuation we were each comfortable with. Having those differences on paper, and a framework for discussing them, was worth considerably more than the programme fee."

Household IPS — May 2025

Participant Journeys

Three examples of how adults have used a Krung Capital programme as a step toward greater household financial clarity.

From Avoidance to Understanding — A Retired Couple in Hua Hin

The Situation

A retired British couple had savings split across accounts in two countries. They had avoided making decisions for three years, largely because they found financial statements confusing and didn't want to make a mistake.

The Programme

They attended the Newcomer's Guide together, then the Household IPS programme six weeks later. By the end of the IPS sessions they had a written document setting out shared goals, a realistic time horizon, and a simple policy for how they would handle market movement.

What Changed

With clarity on their goals, they felt confident seeking advice from a licensed financial planner — something they had also avoided for years. They went into those meetings understanding what questions to ask.

Estate Planning for a Cross-Border Household

The Situation

A Thai woman in her late fifties with property in Hua Hin and an adult child living in Australia had no will and wasn't clear on how Thai inheritance law would interact with her daughter's situation abroad.

The Programme

She attended the Estate and Will Considerations workshop. The facilitator outlined the cross-border framework clearly and indicated specifically what she would need to discuss with a Thai solicitor.

What Changed

Within a month she had instructed a solicitor to draw up a Thai will. She described the workshop as giving her the background to have a productive first meeting with the solicitor rather than starting from zero.

A First-Time Investor in His Mid-Sixties

The Situation

A 64-year-old retired government official had kept all his savings in bank deposits throughout his working life and was beginning to wonder whether this approach still made sense in the years ahead.

The Programme

He attended the Newcomer's Guide and later the Household IPS programme. The IPS sessions helped him articulate — for the first time on paper — that his primary goal was stability rather than growth, and that a short time horizon shaped his situation significantly.

What Changed

He used his IPS document in a meeting with a financial adviser, who was able to work with his clearly stated goals rather than starting with a generic risk questionnaire. The programme helped him arrive prepared.
